Urban Decay- Naked Palette

Welcome to my first beauty post eeeeek how exciting! Today's post  is going to be a review on Urban Decay's Naked Palette. So I know I am a bit behind times and the majority of people have already bought or tried the Naked palettes but I wanted to test and review them to see what all the fuss was about! First of all I didn't have a clue what one to pick, they all had gorgeous shades I loved. Quickly enough I decided on the first palette because A) well, it's the first in the collection, start from the bottom and all lol! B) I fell in love with the velvet textured box (something a bit different)

The shades of Dark Browns and Blacks are perfect for the smoky eye look. There's a colour for everyone included in the compact to make the perfect looking eyes for a daytime or evening look. I recommend using the lighter shades for a more natural daytime look and for the nighttime look using the darker shades in the palette and creating a more intense smoky eye. I will be either posting a demonstration on here or uploading a video on my youtube channel. What would you guys prefer?
Let me know in the comments below.

A few years ago I used to love wearing bright blues and purples how embarrassing! They literally were the most vivid shades of the colour as well and I would put so much on in all the wrong places. Im glad to say since those days I have grown up and know what Im doing, I prefer sticking to neutral browns so this palette is perfect for me.

The colours are really pigmented, you only have to use little amounts to have a full on eye look. Not only that they last a real long time even without using eyeshadow primer. I also love the fact that when you apply the shadows unlike some others I have used in the past you don't get the residue all down your face. My favourite shades in the palette are Smog, Dark Horse, Half-Baked and Toasted, together they create the perfect smoky eye. I like to use Toasted as my base colour and apply on my lower lid then use smog in the outer part of my eyes and then outline with Darkhorse and then blend them all together to create a intense smoky look. I then use Half baked to outline my Brow bone and to highlight the corners of my eyes.

I personally think that everyone needs to add a Naked palette to their collection as no collection is complete without one. I wish I had tried one earlier as I couldn't be without one now! I literally can not wait to but the other three palettes! Which one would you recommend next? What is your favourite palette? Let me know in the comments below, I would love to know! Thank you for reading and I hope you found my review helpful!

Love Sophie xx
