Mcbusted Easter Sunday 2015

Hello everyone, omg I can not believe I am already on my third post so thank you if you have took the time to read my previous two posts they were basically to get to know me better. Todays post is a little bit of a throwback to Easter Sunday last year when I was given the amazing opportunity to meet Mcbusted and see them perform live, at the O2 arena. You will probably see quite a few throwback posts from me for a little while as there is so much I want to share with you all that happened last year! So I really hope you enjoy reading them!

When the idea of Mcbusted was first mentioned I absolutely hated the idea the thought, as a fangirl, made me feel physically sick! What on earth was Mcfly thinking ?! Surely, this was career suicide and they had now put a shelf life on the group! I have loved Mcfly since I saw them for the very first time years and years ago on children's Saturday morning tv (the good old days!) and they performed 'Five Colours In Her Hair'. I instantly fell in love, well mainly with Danny Jones, and have loved them ever since. Busted on the other hand was never my sort of music and I never connected with none of the members of the group plus I had to stay faithful to Mcfly lol! Im glad to say that my opinion has completely and utterly changed and I think Mcbusted was the best idea ever! Although as you all probably know now they have gone their separate ways (sobs!

So last year on the 5th April I travelled to the O2, I remember feeling really sick with nerves and excitement. Literally, to the point of not wanting to go and curling up in my bed. This was my first ever meet and greet and I didn't have a clue what to expect! We literally arrived just in time (typical Sophie) to collect our passes and make our way to the green room which is literally the other side of the arena! Like the ditzy queen that I am,  I join what I thought was the 'meet and greet' queue with my Mum who was in a wheelchair at the time. I stood there thinking why is everyone looking at us and was generally getting annoyed when a random guy came up to me and let me know that I was intact in the queue for standing and that the meet and greet people had been taken through ages ago (face palm)!

When we eventually got to the room it was packed solid and it was so hot, it was not what I was expecting at all! After about ten minutes Mcbusted walked out and everyone was screaming and going mad while I stood there with my mouth wide open speechless looking like a fool! We queued for about a hour and the closer I was getting the sicker I felt and to make matter worse I had managed to smear red lipstick all over my face and was looking like Miranda Sings! For those of you that know me will know that lipstick smeared all over my face is a regular occurrence!

After years and years of waiting to meet Danny Jones it was finally about to happen in a matter of minutes! I remember being at school and I would literally doodle 'I love Danny Jones' or 'Mrs Danny Jones' all over my school books! How embarrassing!

The first person I met was in fact Danny he and Harry hugged me before wishing us a happy Easter. Next was Mr Matt Willis and OMG he is super fit in real life, I literally went weak at the knees, he was literally so lovely! Then next was Dougie who I think must have the most perfect face for a man literally his face is so structured! He was really quiet and shy along with James who just smiled and hugged. Next was Tom who was by far the super sweet one, he was so lovely and made you feel so relaxed! He came over to me and started talking to me and hugged me , I can't remember the conversation I was in to much of a daze! The group photo was then taken, I was in the middle of Matt (YES) and Dougie who put their arms around me while once again I had a Sophie moment (I have a lot of these!) and just stood there looking like a plum! I don't actually remember walking away I really hope I said thank you and goodbye or imagine how rude I looked (face palm). As you walked out their management team were giving you a Easter egg which I thought was pretty damn lovely of them!

All that was left to do now was to see them perform, which I was mega excited about! I had been waiting 10 years to see Mcfly live in concert again! At around 8 we made our way into the arena, we usually go in as the concert is literally about to start but we had got so cold it was time to go and warm up! Mcbusted appeared on stage at just gone Nine and they were absolutely fantastic! There performance was out of this world and was well worth the ten year wait! They sang all their greatest hits like Star Girl, All About You, Obviously, Year 3000, What I go to school for etc. Then of course they sang their new tracks Air Guitar, Beautiful Girls are the Loneliest and Riding on My Bike. I loved every second and could have gone again and again!

It's such a shame that they decided to fold Mcbusted and go back to being two separate bands because they were honestly unreal together, it was literally the perfect band! But who knows what the future holds? Have any of you seen Mcbusted, what did you think? Let me know in the comments below I would love to know! Thanks for reading!

Love Soph xx
